My daughter ( Kellyann Bruno) sent in a video and pictures to have some help with her 99year old home. She never got a reply. After looking at this page, I don’t see where there is any help for the east coast. She lives in Albany,NY. Now she is “house Poor” because she can’t afford all that needs to be done. The most needed repairs in the house are the fireplace in the living room and the painted exterior. When they removed the old mantel and bricks there was another fireplace (the original). Can anyone direct me to the right show for her project and how we can re-enter to see if she can get help. I can’t even find an address on HGTV so that I can write a letter. This is the first web site I have found where I could write anything and I don’t even know if this work or is the right way to help her. Advise please.
    Thank You,

Hasn’t anyone noticed? They only help people who already were able to afford to start something in the first place. They avoid us poor folk like the plague, although I can’t blame them. No one wants to watch poor peoples houses, they want to see what wealthy people do and envy them. (myself included.) But it would be nice to see options for poor folk who don’t have 2000$ to make their living room look pretty, or 50 grand to throw at a bathroom in their 700,000$ house. Happy shiney faces people!

I have to agree, their isn’t much love going around for the east coast of the US. I live 15 minutes from Scranton PA and yes we do have a TV show that’s based on our town… only it’s not that useful when it comes to home makeovers, funny but not useful. Can you advise when either Holmes Inspection or Income Properties will be doing shows in my area? I’d like to be on one of those shows where I know for a fact I can trust the work will be 110% especially since most contractors (not all) tend to think “Oh, she’ll have no clue if it’s ok or not”. I’d like to turn the basement rec room into an apartment for 1 or 2 female students in the nearby college.
    Thanks!
