Back in the day there was this arcade game where you could challenge three friends to race you. The game had four free-spinning steering wheels, a gas pedal, and no brakes. PadRacer has brought that game back in the first "phone-to-pad" arcade game. Instead of the steering wheel, the racer is controlled using an iPhone or iPod Touch while watching the race action, top-down style, on the iPad. And like the original, there's still no brakes! This makes the game simple enough for a kid to pick up and play right away, but requires some practice to really master it.

Obviously the International release was contributed to the second million, but the iPad had only been available in the additional nine countries for two days when Apple reached this new milestone. Apple states nine more countries will get the iPad in July, while shortages are already being reported across the board.

For all its faults, the prime reason we panned Microsoft's Kin was price. Why buy a Kin when you could get a more capable iPhone, Palm Pre or Android device for the same price? This week, it seems someone at Best Buy HQ has seen the light. As of today, the brick-and-mortar electronics superstore has knocked $50 off the price of both handsets, making the Kin One free and the Kin Two cost only $50 on a two-year contract, with no mail-in rebates or other nonsense required. Now, if only Verizon would do something about that $30 monthly data plan, your teen might finally have a vaguely compelling reason to pick one up.

Everyone knows it’s not easy for Steve Jobs to change his mind to support Flash on the iProducts. So, many people are trying to solve the problem to make Flash works on iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. Smokescreen is the latest attempt which reads the Flash SWF files binaries, and turn them as JavaScript and HTML5.

There are several demos available on the site. You won’t notice any differences between the original Flash file and converted files. But, it currently works for Flash ads only. Flash videos and games are very slow during the testing. Video demo after the break.
